Where Can I Serve?

We are to the be the feet of Christ. We have many places where you can join in and serve.

Outreach Ministry

Be a part of reaching out and ministering to our sick, homebound, hospitalized, or someone just in need of a note.  We send notes of encouragement to those who have lost loved ones, missionaries, and military families. This ministry sends invitations to our church services, as well as notes to absentee members. This group prays for each other and looks for ways to help those in need. Meet with us at 10:30 on Tuesday mornings.

Operation Christmas Child

What is Operation Christmas Child? The Samaritan’s Purse project Operation Christmas Child collects shoebox gifts filled with fun toys, school supplies and hygiene items—and delivers them to children in need around the world to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way.

For August we are concentrating on the following items: SCISSORS, HAIR BRUSHES, COMBS, TOOTHBRUSHES , DRAW STRING BAGS, PENCIL SHARPENERS,  do not include used or damaged items.

Create a box for a child across the world and share the news of Jesus Christ. Need ideas? Click here for our Amazon list.

Sweet Spirit Singers

Join us as we go to sing and  minister to those in  nursing homes in our area.  Our singers go once or twice a month to surrounding nursing homes.

We will begin again in the Fall.
Free Clothes Giveaway

In 2003, the clothes give-a-way began. The give-a-way is held twice a year in the spring and fall. People in the community donate clothes, shoes, toys, and houseware items year-round. Volunteers join together to sort the items and fold clothes, this mission usually serves around 80-85 families.

VBS

One week every summer we work to instill God’s word into little hearts.  For some this may be the only time that they hear about God.  We have lots of needs for this week, come and join us!

Nailbenders

Nailbenders is a group of men and women who give of their time and talents to be used by the Lord in various projects. The “Mission Construction Trip” each summer begins the last week in May and continues for 5 weeks. Liberty Baptist Church participates in week 3 taking all tools, food, sleeping gear, and even cooks needed for the week.
